Location & Access

The Circuito Mágico del Agua (Magic Water Circuit) is located in Parque de la Reserva, in the Jesús María district of Lima — about 15 minutes by taxi from Miraflores. It is open Thursday through Sunday evenings, from approximately 7 PM to 10:30 PM. The entry fee is very affordable (around 4–6 soles per person), making it one of Lima's best-value evening activities. The surrounding Jesús María neighbourhood is safe and well-lit at night.

What to See

The Circuito Mágico del Agua holds a Guinness World Record as the world's largest water fountain complex. The park contains 13 illuminated interactive fountains spread across a large park, including the spectacular Fuente Mágica (the centrepiece, shooting water 80 metres into the air), the Túnel de las Sorpresas (a walkable water tunnel), and the Fantasia fountain, which synchronises water, light, and music in a nightly show. Children love the interactive fountains where you can walk through water curtains. The light-and-sound show runs approximately every hour and lasts around 15 minutes.

Practical Notes

The park is very well maintained and heavily visited by Lima families, especially on weekends — which creates a lively atmosphere but also longer queues at the entrance. Arrive 15–20 minutes before opening to get through the gates quickly. Wear comfortable shoes as you'll walk the full circuit. Light jackets are recommended — Lima evenings can be cool and the water spray adds to the chill. Do not bring valuables you can't secure on your person.

Combining with Other Lima Sights

The Circuito Mágico pairs naturally with a morning visit to Huaca Pucllana (the illuminated Miraflores pyramid) or a Lima City Tour. Start your day in the Historic Centre with the catacombs tour (see sidebar), spend the afternoon in Miraflores or Barranco, and finish with the evening water circuit. This makes a full, varied, and memorable Lima day. Taxis to and from the park are plentiful and inexpensive — use an app (Uber, InDriver, Cabify) for the return journey.
